Ch 1: VD Role Overview
As we bring our offerings to this team, let us remember it is an honor and a joy to serve our God!
A phrase we love to use on our team is “all we ask is your best- but your best is required”. We want to always bring our best offering to God, but this doesn't mean we won’t have human moments. If we were perfect, we wouldn't need the reconciliation of Christ, as Galatians so beautifully puts it: “It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” As Jesus is true perfection, we are made full in Him! Our gifts will follow as we submit to Him, but in our flesh, we will always experience the growing pains of honing our talents.
That said, if you notice vocalists obsessing over errors or mistakes, or leaning towards perfection in lieu of excellence, please address this and remind them we are all in progress.
