Ch. 5: Specific Service Elements
Because we all have a unique style in how we vocal direct, this means you may be an FLV under a VD who does things differently than you. If you are concerned something may greatly affect service, address this with your rostered VD one-on-one during an appropriate time. We always want to respect and honor those who are carrying the responsibility of vocal directing, and not “back-seat drive” them.
Additionally, if you are rostered and a vocalist comes to you with vocal questions, be sure you redirect them to the rostered VD, so they understand that individual is carrying the authority of Vocal Director in the service.
