REGIONAL WORSHIP DIRECTOR

Regional Worship Directors are in charge of overseeing everything worship-related in a region of Awaken Church. This role focuses on two main areas: (1) Vision-casting for the region and (2) developing and empowering the Campus Worship Directors in that region.

Vision-Casting

  • Set culture and vision for the region based on the vision of our regional pastors and our lead pastors. (Habakkuk 2:2)

  • Work closely (1) with regional pastors to ensure the worship team is supporting campus vision, and (2) with the Worship Director to ensure culture and processes are generally consistent with other regions per the vision of our lead pastors.

  • Unite the team in heart and purpose - finding the presence of God and leading others into it.

  • Consistently ensure a powerful, anointed worship atmosphere where people encounter God.

Developing and Empowering CWDs

  • Cultivate a leadership environment with CWDs where our leaders are constantly being championed, developed and challenged to new levels of excellence.

  • Set a culture and example of leaders discipling and shepherding their teams. Discipleship is not just a box checked, but we want the QUALITY of discipleship conversations to be rising!

  • Equip the CWDs to have vision for their campuses. Not just to SEE the vision, but to SEE how to overcome obstacles and opposition, how to solve problems and issues that arise, and how to assemble an action plan to fulfill the vision.

Success Measures

  • There are three success measures to let us know our regions are thriving under the leadership of our Worship Directors:

    • Growth In Width: Healthy things grow and when we see the number of our campus teams grow, we know people are excited to be a part of something that is thriving! One of the main quantifiable metrics for this is the number of team members passed through orientation each quarter.

    • Growth in Depth: We want to see the region grow in excellence, in spiritual and emotional health and in connection with each other. One of the main quantifiable metrics for this is discipleship/development conversations happening with all of our team members each month.

    • Growth In Alignment: We want a region that is not only aligned with the vision of the church, but also with the vision of the campus/regional pastor(s)!

Campus Worship Director
