PASTORAL CARE LEAD
Description
The Worship Pastoral Care Lead is part of the Pastoral Care Team, which will liaise with and be a support to the Worship Directors for that campus. Expectation is to resource and empower team members to minister and care for one another; and advocate for the discipleship and health of each individual (body, spirit & soul). This role will directly report to the Pastoral Care Coach for the Campus and follow pastoral care protocols and procedures while working with a creative team to provide pastoral support.
This role will also act as a liaison between connect leaders, ministry leaders, and Worship Directors to ensure that creative team members are receiving basic discipleship and staying connected.
Responsibilities
Two main responsibilities: Care Plans and People
Assist directors and leaders in creating care plans and providing accountability to following through with that care plan. Assign a point person, resources and homework when needed.
Help CWD review and process worship applications for prospective new team members.
When necessary, be available to meet with a team member and leader to pray or walk through a care plan and provide appropriate and available resources
On Call Crisis Care: Providing support and wisdom to the leaders as they help a creative team member through a crisis situation (key relationships: Connect Coaches, connect leaders, ministry leaders and campus pastors)
Assist in responding or picking the appropriate leader to respond to Pastoral Care Forms that come through via our website pertaining to the creative team
Work in Myawaken.online for management of the Pastoral care Forms to ensure no care slips through cracks
Follow the legal and medical protocol in accordance with city and state law as directed by the Pastoral Care Coach from your campus and work with Pastoral Care Director if any of these occurrences arise
Church Involvement Expectations
Report directly to Pastoral Care Coach and support Worship Director as needed
Uphold expectations for being Worship Team Members
Soak and Serve on Sundays
Men and woman’s prayer (highly suggested, not required)
Attend church conferences
Tithing/Participating in Vision Builders
